Technical Guidance for Virtual Meetings

Please refer to the Executive Board Secretariat’s invitation for guidance on which system to use for a specific meeting or event.

High-quality audio is essential so that your words can be heard clearly and interpreters can provide their service. Poor audio creates a risk of interrupted interpretation as well as damage to the interpreters' auditory health.

Unfortunately, many platforms and tools for remote meetings or non-compliance with simple but basic requirements make it extremely difficult to achieve sound that conforms to recommended ISO standards.

To continue to support multilingualism and provide high-quality services, please observe our requirements. With a few simple actions, you can help improve the quality of sound for everyone who listens to you and interprets your message.

In the following link we have compiled a list of requirements to help you achieve reasonable sound quality for your next remote meeting.
